Minervois and petit Causse land

At the heart of the Languedoc, there's the Minervois territory, who is near of Corbières by the south and near of Cabardès by the west.

This is the biggest land of grape varieties in the Languedoc.

So he offers a large range of red wines, tables wines and local wines, rosé and whites wines ones are in minority.

The Minervois vineyard are at the foot of the Montagne Noire, south-facing.

Specifcally, the Domain Lignères Lathenay, on the territory of Siran, takes the appelation Petit Causse, vineyard lined of scrubland, junipers, rock roses and  fragrant  pine forests. A lot of capitelles and shepherds' drystone dot the landscape.

The fields of Lignères  Lathenay have  a certain altitude, + / - 100m  above  the  Mediterranean sea, a  rather  dry  climate  and  various  kinds  of soil: clay-limestone alternation, marl  limestone on  the  slopes laying gravel and sandstone.

The Minervois has a beautiful historic heritage.

Besides Siran, there's a twelfth century's chapel dedicated to Notre-Dame of Centeilles.

Always close to Siran, the medieval town of Minerve Cathar.

The walled city of Carcassonne is located less than 35 km
